The Kin care clause she be used, under the Public Law Guidelines, before a child is ever taking into care, and placed with foster carers.
Children should be placed with immediate family members like Grandparents, which would save millions of pounds at the taxpayers expense, some private foster care agencies are paying their carers up to £800 a week for each child.
The former would prevent the upset and emotions of being placed with somebody that they don't know, which will in many cases provide the child with mental trauma, which in some cases last for many years, i recently knew of a case where a child got through 15 foster care placements within in a year, surely not acceptable AND IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE CHILD.
Grandparents should obviously be assessed and suitability checked out first.
