Child exploitation is a problem for every council, insists Loughton

MY THOUGHTS

If the Government are in no hurry to oversee Eileen Munro recommendations, and for the recommendations put into practice surrounding Social Work reforms and child protection in general, Tim Loughton will hardly have any interest in seeing that Local Authority’s take urgent action over child exploitation.

Local Authority’s have already stated that they cannot be secure in their duties to protect vulnerable children, because of financial restraints  put on Councils by the Governments cutbacks.

One Local Authority recently stated that they had 1000 children without a key Social Worker.
