This book was published in the late nineties by Dennis Howitt,and relates to PAIN cases at the time, things have not changed since the Butler-Sloss inquiry into Cleveland,and i despair on a daily basis for my clients, who have to face a five month wait for a Guardian to be appointed to their Family Court Proceedings.,and a System that still in some cases have not invited Parents to Child Protection case conferences, a backwards spiral which is totally unacceptable.
PAIN won the right for Parents to attend case conferences in 1993, via MP's and their private members bills, Parents allowed in at case conference bill.
