MY THOUGHTS
At a time of recession, and after more than well over a year in planning, questions are now being asked, can it all be afforded? with reference to Eileen Munro report, and recommendations surrounding into putting the report into practice.
I have my reservations about a couple of the requirements, with regards to Social Workers spending less time on paperwork.
While i agree that Social Workers should spend more time out on the field, doing the work that they are payed to do ,safeguarding children, and dealing with the adult sector, the terminating off initial and core assesments, a vital necessity to show the weakness, off any parenting skills, and other vital information could be missed, leaving children at risk.
Will these recommendations be made on the cheap? and be negative part to what was set out to be?
THE OVERHAUL OF CHILD PROTECTION SERVICES,CHANGING THINGS FOR THE BETTER.
