Parents Against Injustice
The ASCC is the Association of Social Care Communicators. It is a forum
where communicators working with vulnerable children or adults can come
together and share good practice and develop ideas. Every year a
national conference is held, and this year the conference is in Derby.
The conference gives you a chance to meet up with other social care communicators in the region, and develop your skills in the workshops.
This is an opportunity to learn about the current issues affecting
social care (there are many!), and how they relate to the way we
communicate with our service users. It should not be missed.
It is rare to be able to meet up with so many other communications professionals, so take this chance to share ideas and develop local contacts.
The conference is open to members and non-members, and a special rate has been negotiated for voluntary and community sector
organisations, and this is just £50. If you are unable to attend for
both days, feel free to just commit to one day, and you will still have
the opportunity to attend the full selection of workshops, hear some of
the key note speakers and make valuable contacts.
For more information about the conference, and the workshops and key-note speakers, please see the flyer attached below.
The closing date for the conference is now Wednesday 1 September, so you have just a few more days to make your booking.
To book your place go to: http://www.ascc.me.uk/conference/index.asp or contact Edd Tillen, Leicestershire County Council on 0116 305 5843
