Average time for care or supervision cases to reach first disposal up six weeks in 2021, government data reveals

Care Proceedings should be concluded within 26 weeks compliance time.

Here we see that Care Proceedings are taking up to six weeks for the case to begin within the Family Court arena.

The Ministry of Justice publication showed that during 2021 fewer than a quarter of the cases, which works out at 23 percent were concluded within 26 weeks.

The target introduced by the Children and Families act 2014,was down by 8 percent compared to 2020.
