BACK TO THE BASICS FOR SOCIAL WORKERS IN SALFORD

Yes

back to the basics, what a good idea! Lets hope this extra training will highlight the need to follow all the guidelines within the Public and Private Law criteria and refrain from disregarding certain clauses, for example the kincare clause, by placing children with an immediate family member like Grandparents, preventing the need for the more expensive option, foster care, which would save money and could be put into safeguarding vulnerable children, which is not happening in the Salford area, with reference to the Department failing their second Ofsted inspection.
Newly qualified staff should not be put on front line child protection duties, until they have been through at least a six month probationary period, to prove they are fully competent, which will happen with regards to the new degree course.
