Excellent in theory.

But until Cafcass get the basics right, there will be very little improvement to make things better in the future.

Why do Guardians not ensure and encourage Children to fill in the Cafcass wishes and feelings pack in?

The former just highlights that Guardians are not working in a child centred and family way.

PAIN have been very instrumental in advocating for Gillick Children at Child Protection Case Conferences, LAC reviews and Children in need reviews, as well as being in the vicinity to encourage children to fill the wishes and feelings documentation in.

Gillick Children are also entitled to seek Legal Representation in their own right.

One Children Panel Solicitor who we use was happy to represent children in the Family Court arena.

He even got Gillick Children to be able to see the Judge in chambers, to highlight their wishes and feelings prior to Family

Court hearings taking place.

I put the same comments on the Cafcass website, but as you can guess the comments were deleted, clarifying the fact they have no intention in changing their ways, FOR THE BETTER,, at the expense of Article 8 of the European convention on the RIGHTS OF THE CHILD.
