CHANNEL 4 DISCLOSURE BE CAREFUL

 

Hi there,
I was diagnosed with a long term skin  condition after undergoing Hysteroscopy and D and C over the last couple of days, as well as suffering from crohns disease with bowel adhesion’s as well as a hiatus hernia causing severe gastric pain on a daily basis, they have now found a long term dermatology condition.
I decided to go to the embarrassing bodies website, and noticed the application form for going onto the show.
I was somewhat bemused about the information required regarding Care Proceedings and any form of civil court proceedings.
Can you please inform why such information is required on such a personal basis?.if that is the case can you please inform me as to whether individuals that are picked to go on the show will also have to have an enhanced CRB check before they appear on television.?
What is the purpose of the company’s  decision to ask prospective persons if they are subject to any on going  family court appearances ?
Will such persons be excluded from taking part in the show?
On a personal point of view i have a very debilitating form of a dermatology problem, the diagnosis has caused me a lot of distress over the past few days, and feel that this condition should be highlighted in the media, but after been wrongly accused of child abuse, many years ago, which was later found to be untrue, our son was diagnosed with OI brittle bone disease, if the case had been now, what sort of action would the TV  company of taken regarding my disclosure? would this allegation of suspected non accidental injury prevent me from appearing on the program.?
What is the Company policy of disclosure to other agencies if any?
