The Children's Workforce Development Project would like to invite you to take part in the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, private, voluntary and independent sector Children's Volunteer
and Workforce data profile collection 2010. Attached is a copy of the
data profile questionnaire, which we ask that you complete and return
by 22nd December 2010.

The information gathered will be used to shape support services for the private, voluntary and independent sector children's workforce in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Understanding the
true size, scope and nature of the workforce enables the Local
Authority and organisations such as Voluntary Action LeicesterShire to
tailor their services to meet the needs of the sector e.g. training,
information and representation at a strategic level.

Further information about the data collection, what will happen to the data and why it is so vital to come and be counted is given in the Guidance Notes booklet (attached). It also has
explanations of some of the jargon used and guidance on how to complete
the questionnaire.

What to do:

* Open the data profile questionnaire. You can either type onto the document or print it off and write it by hand.

* Complete the questionnaire - as much as you can. Tell us as much as you can about your staff and volunteers, but don't worry if you don't know all details - just leave that section blank.
