Cost should never be a factor in protecting children from harm

I dealt with a case over the past few years where the DWP stopped the benefits of a Father, his 11 year old Son was taken into Foster Care, because he could not feed his Child.

For some reason he did not get to know about food banks.

In this case the Boys Mother had died of cancer 3 years before this tragedy.

In these cases it is the duty of the Local Authority to supply the Father with some kind of money.

In this case the Father was given no aid by the Local Authority, but gladly put the Boy into Foster Care.

RESULT THE FATHER COMMITTED suicide.
