Domestic abuse: Tougher sentences recommended

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-43145406#

I am totally disgusted in some Cases where the Police have more sympathy for the Perpetrator than the Victim.

With regards to one of our Cases, the Woman was ordered out of her house by the Police, her husband had allegedly punched her to the head and knocked her out.

When the Police arrived, she said that her Partner should be removed from the house, due to the alleged assault.

She sat on the floor and refused to move.

The Police threatened her, stating that if she did not move, they would arrest her.

She was forced to leave straight away no time to collect a change of clothes and prescription drugs.

The place where she was taken, was far from a place of safety, she was being verbally and emotionally abused by another Family Member.

she refused to go into a Domestic Violence refuge due to the fact that she had possessions stolen while in there.

The police let her down very badly, she was not even given a specialist Domestic violence officer.

She was later supported by the Organisation to go to Court and get a non molestation restraining order, and an occupation order on the jointly owned Property.
