UK Grandparents Day

1^ST October 2010

THE BIGGEST CARERS OF CHILDREN IN THE WORLD.

For years we have had different dates for Grandparents Day.

So we at Grandparents Apart UK have settled on the 1^st October every year from now on. This day is also Older Peoples
Day and it will be easier to remember for grandparents who are Older
People.

The nearest Sunday to the 1^st October would be a great family day for thanking grandparents for baby sitting etc. and showing them how much you love

and care for them.

-Why God Made-

Grandparents

God looked down on all his children

And decided then and there

That a grandparent was needed

To give special love and care

They’d tell lots of happy stories

Or know special games to play

And with tender hugs and kisses

They’d chase children’s tears away

God thought of all the lovely things

They’d do to make life fun

And so he created grandparents

To be loved by everyone.
