I agree with the statement made by Barnardos, yes children are being let
down by the system, which in my opinion is due to the alarmingly
high
increase in care proceedings, resulting in a meltdown in the
family
court arena, also due to the waiting list for Guardians to be
appointed
too such cases, in some parts of the UK the waiting list is well
over
six months, these professionals should be appointed within a week of
a
case entering the family court.
While vulnerable children are being
left at risk of abuse or even death, due to the former, the other scenario is
children are being
separated from their parents for a longer time scale, both
situations
are TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
One Local Authority recently
dropped 200 cases too concentrate their efforts into safeguarding vulnerable
children, the question
arises, should these cases of been instigated in the
first place,
costing millions of pounds at the taxpayers
expense?
Martin Nareys comments stating that more babies and children
should be taken into .care quickly, as possibly exacerbated the
situation.
In some cases there will be cases of miscarriages of justice,
resulting in forced adoption, to which the academics and other
professionals,
including some MPS deem to be
acceptable.
