If you suffer from Bipolar, anxiety, or any kind of mental health problem, your name will be possibly entered onto a National mental health register, without you ever knowing, with the Government holding personal information about you..

I found out because of suffering from depression due to long term medical problems, resulting in severe abdominal pain...

A letter from my GP surgery arrived, inviting me to go for a yearly health screening, the letter was sent by a lady called Sarah, who introduced herself as the new mental health facilitator, within my GP practice.

On making inquiry's about where this Woman was based,and who she worked for,was not forthcoming with no transparency, i decided to research the subject, because after having a consultation with her, she gave me this booklet, while walking home, i noticed that i had been placed on the mental health register without knowing, it was a complete shock, and the anxiety and shock, prevented me from going to work,and completely ruined my Easter weekend.

I issued Sarah with a data protection request, to obtain any data, that was held on file about me, Sarah was shocked by my request and said that her Department,would not hold any files about me, obviously lies as she was writing notes.

I had an appointment with my GP this afternoon, and put a few questions to him, with reference to clarifying the mental health register, he stated that he had told none of his patients, that they were on such a register.

I was placed on the register by my former GP,i asked how my name could be removed from the register, he said that my name could never be removed, and the Government held details about all patients on the register.

Another injustice, and a violation of Human Rights, although my GP said that it was there to prevent any tragedies, and all patients would be screened on a yearly basis.

I was told that it was not mandatory that i had to attend such screenings, but any refusal to cooperate would not be looked on lightly.

I will be issuing the mental health department with a data protection requests, which i already had to Sarah, but i am sure that her Department would not receive the letter.

With reference to how the child protection industry is at the moment, regarding labeling parents with personality disorders, in order to take their children into care, the mental health register will only exacerbate the child stealing arena.

If you have suffered any form of anxiety, or depression, ask your GP, if you are on the register, and for Gods sake obtain your medical files under the data protection act.

On another matter, on the wall of the GP surgery was a flyer saying have you ever been touched by adoption, i was so bemused i nearly ran out of the surgery with anger.
