My thoughts.
As said the other day, initial assessments and core assessments should continue.
A initial assessment should be carried out within ten working days, of Social Services becoming involved with the family.
Failure to record any documentation at all, and just adding short notes, and documentation on a computer, could be leaving a child at risk, important information could be missed, which could prevent the immediate safeguarding of a child.
If Munro wants to abandon these assessments, why is this information conflicting, stating that assessment timescales must not be abandoned.
Keep these assessments, they have always been a part of good Social Work practice.
