On May 25th 2018, the new General Data Protection Regulations GPDR will come into force.

This replaces the current Data Protection Act 1998.

This means that your data  is kept and stored in a way that is both lawful and compliant with the Data Protection Laws.

WHAT IS PERSONAL DATA?

Personal Data is anything that can identify an individual , such as name , date of birth,phone number , email address, postal address,prison number,and address,

WHAT DOES PAIN HOLD?

PAIN hold information given by those who contact us by phone, email and letter, this includes PAIN Advocates,, who are volunteers.

In this case we only hold email addresses, the brief case histories are deleted within a few days of answering the emails.,

Home Addresses of our Services are not kept on file, the same goes with regards to Service users phone numbers.

Telephone calls are not recorded..

We do not get letters, if we do the letters are shredded after reading.

WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

This information is held in order to respond to those requesting our help and to provide support, information and sign posting and for their ongoing queries .

We also hold it in order to provide anonymous statistics , the first in support of the Parents, Carers, or Individuals who state they have wrongly accused of child abuse.,and persons who state that they have been falsely accused.,

DATA PRIVACY?

PAIN keep information only as long as necessary, in our role of supporting individuals and until our anonymous statistics have been completed on ongoing support roles.

This in our case is only email addresses,

By requesting PAIN UK,support, you are consenting to our holding your material safely and in accordance with DATA PROTECTION PRACTICES ,for as short a time as necessary in order for any ongoing support, in this case only email addresses.

PAIN Advocates have their own computers. and their is no central Data base.
