Hi Alison, How are you? I am a journalist from BBC Essex, and we are doing a story in our Thursday breakfast show about a woman from Saffron Walden who has received an apology from Essex County Council after being wrongly accused of abusing her disabled child by Social Services here. It took nine months for her to clear her name, and in that time she found that at one stage there was a plan to take her child away from her. I have interviewed the mum, and we are going to play it out on Thursday. When I spoke to her, she mentioned she’d got some guidance from you at some stage. I was wondering if I might be able to give you a call tomorrow about the possibility of interviewing you about how common this kind of thing is… what impact it has on families… that kind of thing.
