Yes but the Police are letting Domestic violence victims down big time.

In Leicestershire victims are not given a specialised domestic violence officer to support them.

I know because i have been through this system.

And on most occasions with regards to a friend of mine it was her that was forced to leave the house by the police.

She told me that she sat down on the kitchen floor refusing to move, they threatened to arrest her if she did not leave the house, she was sent to a family member to stay but was abused there as well..
