Soaring numbers of children going missing in care – with five reports a day and youngest child aged four

http://www.eadt.co.uk/news/suffolk-and-essex-councils-receive-three...

A child goes missing at the age of 4,while in LA care but nothing comes of it.

But in a lot of cases the LA will not even contemplate their Mandatory obligation under the Kincare clause by placing a Child with an immediate Family Member such as Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles.

The Person that is considering that they can take the temporary caring role, can be made a party into the Public Law care proceedings, and may be entitled to means tested Legal Aid.

If this had of happened the Child would not of gone missing while in care of the LA.

These figures are absolutely disgusting figures.IN THESE CASES THE LA is not fit for purpose and failing all these Children.
