Thank you Christopher Booker for highlighting the scandal of forced adoption.
This topic is not just a common problem today.
Back in 1985, Pediatrician Marrieta Higgs gave conflicting medical evidence
in the family court arena and 200 children were wrongly removed from
their parents and taken into care, her theories concluded that all
children had been sexually abused.
Dr Higgs evidence was later to be disregarded by other medical professionals.
The Cleveland inquiry chaired by Dame Butler-Sloss and the recommendations made from the former were made public.
25 years later the witch hunt continues, babies are being taken from
mothers within hours of birth from hospitals, on emergency protection
orders, on the evidence given by the so called medical experts, some
are not adequately qualified to make such a diagnosis, in a recent case
PAIN have been advising on, a mother was diagnosed with MSBP by a
paediatrician.
In some cases of perceived non accidental injury with regards to unexplained fractures with no trauma, osteogenesis
imperfecta may be a factor, but paediatric radiologists state in
skeletal surveys, that bones appear to look normal, this also may be a
finding in cases of mild forms of this brittle bone disease, there is
also no blood test that will diagnose the condition, symptoms like blue
sclera to the whites of the eye and the small in stature clause is
being disregarded in many cases.
The Government state that Local Authority's do not have adoption targets to meet now; I beg to differ,
check out the receipts and statistics for adoptions for the year 2009.
