Youth Shelter in Loughborough win tender supported by VAL

The Youth Shelter in Loughborough have been awarded £102,929 to provide supported accommodation for young homeless people.

The award was part of a tender process by Leicestershire County Council to contract suitably experienced providers to work in partnership to deliver a number of services launched in July 2010.

VAL's Group Support Team provided advice and guidance to the Youth Shelter that included:

• Reading and reviewing tender submissions
• Advising of amendments and making recommendations

This is a fantastic outcome for a small voluntary organisation who were successful in a competative process open to large regional and national organisations to win this contracts.
