Adult Social Care Day Services Strategy and the Review of Employment Services

Adult Social Care Day Services Strategy and the Review of Employment Services

Date: 15 February 2011
Time: 1pm – 4pm
Location: Parklands Leisure Centre, 77 Wigston Road, Oadby, Leicester LE2 5QG

Leicestershire County Council is currently consulting with the public on proposals to change the following services:

  • Day Services – currently provided by both the Council and independent/voluntary sector providers. This consultation is about how services could be developed in the future
  • Employment Services – this is about the possible closure of the Breaking the Barriers team who provide employment support and the Council’s in-house supported employment schemes. This consultation is also about future services

Leicestershire LINk is holding a consultation event to provide the public with an opportunity to hear from speakers why the Council is proposing to make changes and for questions to be answered. Following the speakers, the meeting will then compile responses, which will be submitted by the LINk to Leicestershire County Council, so that people’s views can be taken into account.
Leicestershire LINk would appreciate the help of the VCS to promote the event as widely as possible and to encourage people and groups to have their say on how services will be delivered.

To book on the event or if you require any further information or would like any posters, please contact:
