MY THOUGHTS

For the UK Government to even think about scrapping the crisis loan beggars belief.

With the disabled and persons that were on long term incapacity benefit or support allowance,who are sent for work related medical examinations, it is usually a Nurse that sees them, and in the majority of cases their employment allowance is being stopped straight away, as the Nurse sends a report back saying that they are fit for work.

With their support allowance being stopped straight away, they are told to apply for job seekers allowance, which in many cases it can take up to six weeks to change over benefit, leaving the persons without money.

In that instance they would apply for a crisis lone,but if the Government are going to stop the crisis loan,WHAT ARE THESE INDIVIDUALS EXPECTED TO DO STARVE TO DEATH?

This scenario has happened to members of my family, without the crisis loan, they would of been in deep trouble.

On a personal note, i suffer from serious long term medical conditions, it has taken the DWP since February to sort my benefit out, eventually sorted last week, but still not been payed.

Due to myself having no income coming in, WITHOUT THE FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF MY HUSBAND I MAY HAVE BEEN PUT IN THE SITUATION OF GOING FOR A CRISIS LOAN.

I AM HOPEFULLY GOING BACK TO WORK AT THE WEEKEND.
