Independent review defends claim there are unnecessary child protection investigations

Even though there maybe a anonymous call to Social Services child protection department's, and a neighbour reports this just because of a  vendetta the Local Authority have a mandatory obligation to investigate the allegation, it doesn't matter how small the allegation is ,they still have a duty to investigate and decide within 24 hours what their next outcome will be.

Anonymous vendettas on a daily basis may clog up the system, because they may receive thousands of calls up and down the UK every single day, and lead to Local Authority failings and a baby will fall through the net and die via the injuries perpetrated on the child by parents and others.

In some ways Social workers are dammed if they do and dammed if they do not take adequate action.
