How can it be in the best interest of the Service User under the Clause of Person Centered Care of the Health and Social Care act of 2014 to have 4 Social Workers in a year? 2 that we have never met.?
My Husband is suffering from end stage liver disease after prolonged alcohol abuse resulting in self neglect as well post trauma of loosing his late parents as well as loosing his mental capacity at the time.
The first Social Worker seemed to be very nice .but all talk and no action and would agree to attend meetings but often didn't turn up with no notification of why?
All of a sudden we were told that B my Husbabds Social Worker was transferring his case over to another office which meant another Social Worker would become involved.
The problem was the old Social Worker B did not make arrangements with R the new Social Worker before passing the case to a different office to meet up . which upset my Husband greatly.
R seemed to be very nice at first . but was always off sick and could never get hold of her.
Prior to my Husband coming back to live at home he needed an OT assessment a meeting was arranged without my prior knowledge R told me at a meeting that the meeting with OT would be the following Monday.
I said no way could I make that date because of an out Patients Hospital Appointment .
I put in a complaint about R making an Appoinment without me knowing.
Another Appointment was made jointly with the OT eventually the day came.
The OT turned up but no Social Worker.
There was no way I could get hold of R by phone or email.
Nobody in the Office seemed to know where R was.
I needed her to help sort my Husband care package out at home..
A few days before he came home . R rang and said she was leaving and we would hear from them about the new Social Worker who we never ever met within the 6 months being with her.
She rang me to say she was leaving as well and to wait for a new Social Worker to be designated.
I rang the office the new Social Worker A. has been wanting to come round the house with OT to review my husband.
I was post surgery feeling lousy and have still not met A who is coming to see my husband in October
She stated that if we cancelled again we would be struck off..
Anyway I had to sort out all my Husbands care package nyself has R was no where to be found.
Adult Services in Leicestershire is not fit for purpose they have let my husband down constantly.
I have now been waiting for a Care Assessment to be done on me for 6 months now nothing has happened due to my poor Health I asked for the assessment .as well they have let me down
Another thing A did behind my back was to approach the Care Company worrying about me thinking I was suffering from BURNOUT.
I found this information out on paperwork that I got under the Data Protection Act.
I emailed A and told her that if she was worrying about me that much she should of contacted me directly.
