New approach to data breaches will see ICO fine public authorities sparingly

I have issued University Hospitals Leicester with a Subject Access Request to get copies of all my chronic Pain management files and Gastroenterology files as a matter of urgency for my Personal Independence claim.

The Trust are stating that they could possibly breach the 30 working days mandatory compliance time and it could even be double the amount of timescale allowed to 60 working days.

Thus my PIP claim could be denied because the powers to be UHL are doubling the amount of time allowed fur such requests.

I will now have to go and write a stern email to the Data Protection officer within the Hospital Trust stating that due to their breach i could loose my current PIP claim.

Very bad consequences will come out of this new protocol.
