The press release from the MOJ entitled OPENNESS & ACCOUNTABILITY IN FAMLY COURTS: NEW LEGISLATION PROPOSED 19/11/09 is exactly what it says in the title only; " NEW LEGISLATION." The rest of it is artful and utterly devious double entendre that would make any campaigner/journalist feel warm and cosy inside. DON'T BELIEVE IT.
I read the Children, Schools and Families Bill last night, VERY CAREFULLY as recommended by Simon Clayton. He is absolutely right, it is VERY BAD NEWS for everyone who believes in openness & accountability in Family Courts and in free speech. This Bill is nothing short of a COMPLETE AND FINAL GAG on all of us. I suspect the Law Lords & politicians have had enough of us whining, roof climbing, banner waving protesters and decided to wipe us out with one fell swoop. We would NEVER be able to discuss a Family Case again, ever,... even after proceedings!

WHAT DO WE DO!?! I invite academics, journalists & banner wavers to comment.
