Re: False allegations made against social workers by parents/carers By RGS in Social work profession The CRB contains no details of allegations - only criminal convictions so her CRB should be clear. Not knowing the case, its difficult to comment but the term 'child in need' is used to define children with disabilities, who need additional support etc, so as such it should not be seen as a stick to hit Mum with. A plan for a child in need is a plan set in place to support a family so should not be seen as a bar to employment. If she contacts the GSCC she should be able to get more information as to whether there are concerns that would impact on her registration. Hope that is of some use.

This is a reply i got from care space, after i replied to one of their blogs after a Social Worker had been accused of abuse by Parents, and she was worried for her future, in the end she was vindicated.
I asked them for some advice about a Social Worker that PAIN were dealing, with she had been accused of emotional abuse but couldn't practice in her chosen field, because the allegation was on an enhanced CRB disclosure.
Well they Care Space are contradicting themselves, they say her CRB should be clear, and she should be able to practice, i can assure you she has lost her job, basically they are saying if there is an allegation made against a Social Worker, they are still allowed to practice, with a clear CRB disclosure, if the allegation was false and made against any other individual like a teacher, they would never be allowed to work with children again, because of the allegation showing up on the CRB disclosure.
