Here are a few leads:

What is the financial support?
You will receive a generous weekly payment, with substantial tax free
allowances, whilst you have children/young people in your care. You
will also receive two weeks paid respite per year.

The majority of FCA foster carers currently receive £390.25 per child,
per week. However, there are circumstances where this may be less – for
example placements of younger children. Where a child or young person
has particularly challenging behaviour or special needs then this
fostering fee/allowance may be more. Your FCA Supervising Social Worker
will discuss this with you before each fostering placement is made.

Foster care relief
This is a basic introduction to foster care relief prepared by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) in August 2008.

In addition to the fostering allowance a skill a payment may be made to carers .
These are between £75-£225 per week and are paid per household.

It is also worth considering the large gap between what the Local
Authority pays the Foster agency and what the agency pays the foster
carer, especially in America where millions are provably
misappropriated.
