I have blogged many times about the injustice of Parents who are forced to go toCourt when hospitals decide to terminate the life support of their babies.

In the past ten years we have heard of many cases where the Hospitals Trust have paid thousands of pounds in legal fees to support their cause to terminate life support of these children.

Recent cases of Charlie Gard, and Alfie Evans have devastated both sets of Parents.

While the Hospital Trusts paid enormous amounts of money in legal fees to oversee the deaths of these two babies by having their life support ventilators being turned off, these Parents were not entitled to any kind of legal aid..

Charlie and Alfie Parents had to find Pro Bono legal representation, if they had not found anybody to represent them in Court they would have had to go litigant in person, at one of the most traumatic times of their lives.

I put Freedom of Information requests into Alder Hey Children's Hospital, as well as Great Ormond street Hospital.

The amount of money that was spent to terminate the life of these two babies in my opinion was obscene.

At last some Justice, other Parents suffering the above trauma, will be entitled to civil Legal Aid in the future.
