Re: False allegations made against social workers by parents/carers By RGS in Social work profession The CRB contains no details of allegations - only criminal convictions so her CRB should be clear. Not knowing the case, its difficult to comment but the term 'child in need' is used to define children with disabilities, who need additional support etc, so as such it should not be seen as a stick to hit Mum with. A plan for a child in need is a plan set in place to support a family so should not… Continue

I really feel sick to the pits of my stomach, State sanctioned Child trafficking.

The money that will feast these party's, will come out of the taxpayer’s purse.

Why this kind of money is not being used to keep children with their natural Parents beggars belief.

The Children’s charity Coram have put into practice with Local Authorities to place newly born babies with prospective adoptive Parents in the early stage of Care Proceedings and placements are being planned before babies… Continue

Concern over new family legal aid fixed fees

Concern over new family legal aid fixed fees

WED 21/10/2009 - The Ministry of Justice and the Legal Services Commission have today published new fee structures for family legal aid that will see hourly rates replaced with fixed fees.

Family lawyers have warned that the new fixed fees are likely to mean a mass exodus of lawyers from family legal aid and undermine access to justice for ordinary families. The number of family… Continue

PUBLICATION OF FAMILY COURT JUDGEMRNYS TO BE PILOTED

On Line publications of some Family Court Care Proceedings, Contact and Residence case judgments will be piloted for the first time at Courts in Leeds and Cardiff, lets hope the anonymity of the Children and Parents will be secure, but with the present debacle within the child protection area and Family Court arena only time will tell

My heart goes out to this young couple; they should at least have been given the opportunity to be assessed in a Mother and Baby unit and under the Public Law Legal Guidelines. Social Services should be considering the kin care clause, by placing the Child with an immediate member of the family.

Is this another Family torn apart, by so called expert witnesses, giving conflicting Medical or Psychological evidence, to gratify Local Authority Adoption targets?

The former will continue… Continue

THE FAMILY SAVIOUR

Alison Stevens, 51, from Leicestershire

Twenty-four years ago social services took away Alison's three-year-old son, Scott, after mistakenly deciding he was being abused. In fact, doctors should have diagnosed brittle bone disease when Scott broke his leg. Mother and son were reunited, but the incident inspired Alison's work as head of Parents Against Injustice (PAIN). She fits in her demanding, unpaid work around her full-time nursing job. This month her… Continue

I applaud the efforts of looked after children to try and persuade the chairperson of the Social Work task force to involve children and young people in the future training and recruitment of Social Workers.

What a sad state of affairs it is when young service users are not informed, when their key worker is moving onto pastures new and a new professional turns up out of the blue.

I await the outcome of this new project with anticipation, because within the new Public Law Guidelines,… Continue

CAMBRIDGE SOCIAL SERVICES ORDER SERIOUS CASE REVIEW

Cambridge Social Services are having a serious case review into how a baby girl was murdered by her Father, after 40 different fractures were found on the little girl’s body.

No lessons are being learned from past cases, such as baby Peter and Victoria Columbie in Haringey.

More heads to roll and sackings I guess, until Social Workers are made accountable for malpractice and the judicial system is changed, these tragedies will continue tenfold.

The evil excuse of a Father will be… Continue

Sara Payne Coments

Sara Payne an advocate for various childrens rights, including the amber light system for missing children, has made a comment today on the National news, about anti social behavior, and the effects it has on peoples lives, highlighting the Pilkington case in Leicestershire, stated that the Government listen to her concerns.

Why is it that that this Government allows Corporate kidnapping by allowing Social Workers to take children away wrongly from innocent parents, and placing them into… Continue

CORAM URGE LOCAL AUTHORITYS TOO -PLACE BABIES WITH PROSPECTIVE ADOPTERS DURING CARE PROCEEDINGS

Coram a childrens charity are calling for prospective adopters too foster babies during care proceedings.

Placements could be planned before a baby is even born, the agency state that the former could occur within hours of birth.

The thought of this happening is horrendous, Babies being taken from hospitals, on emergency protection orders from mothers within hours of birth, into the arms of future adopters, Social Workers are instigating care proceedings on limited evidence and… Continue
