Ofsted is 'feeding people's fears' about child protection
© Copyright stockxpert.com/latent
TUES 24/11/2009 - Ofsted should be the calm, measured voice that helps to make child protection services work better rather than feeding people's fears, council leaders said today. The Local Government Association warns that the inspectorate needs to stop working against councils in order to win back the confidence of the public, social workers and central government.
The LGA…

Thank you for your email dated 8 May addressed to Ed Balls MP expressing your concerns about the Children and Family Courts Advisory Service (Cafcass). I hope you will appreciate that due to the high volume of correspondence the Minister receives he is unable to reply personally to each one. I have been asked to reply.
The Government is well aware that domestic violence is an issue that frequently occurs in contact cases, and our commitment to facilitating contact between children…

These cuts are down to this Government,, once more it will have drastic effects on the welfare of our Children, more vulnerable Children left at risk of abuse, or even death.
There will be a cut in the recruitment of Social Workers as well .
I despair everyday of my life, we are definitely heading for the dark days of the Work House, are we really living in the 21st century?

I applaud the introduction of the Childrens Rights Bill.
The rights of the Child will become a part of UK Law , which hopefully will involve the Family Court arena.
Local Authority's have a duty, under the Public Law Guidelines to involve Children in Child Protection Case Conference, if they are of the age of understanding about , what is happening to them, the former is just not happening within my PAIN caseload.
I hope the Private members bill, will also…

Who is going to foot the bill for this charade then? you,and me,the taxpayers.
Its about time Gordon Brown, and his scheming unit, put their own house in order, with reference to their expenses, and other sleazes.
Probably another way of saying that the bickering outside the school gates, is another dysfunctional Family, another way of involving Social Services, and Parents being labeled with personality disorders, for the Government to gratify their Adoption…

I applaud Jack Straws decision to name expert Witnesses within the Family Court Arena.
Such scrutiny could possibly prevent these Professionals from giving conflicting and misleading medical and Psychological evidence, which may stop miscarriages of justice.
How can Social Workers become immune from such disclosures? Shoddy practice is acceptable, accountability is the name.…

145 Children lost while in Local Authority Care, a National disgrace.
Yet again System abuse, by a team of so called Social Services, that are supposed to safeguard them.
Yes i agree, County Councilors should sped more time to oversee their duties under the clause of Corporate Parent,
I wonder how many of these Children have fallen into prostitution, and Pedophile gangs, and have been sexually abused?…

Why some Local Authority's do not consider the Kincare clause is a question i would like to ask? they have a mandatory obligation to consider this under the Public Law Guidelines.
I was dealing with a case where all three siblings were going to be placed with separate Foster Carers, all in the best interests of the Child..
Luckily due yo the professionalism of our clients Solicitors, the Children remain at home, on an interim care order..…
