Why will Local Authority's not use the kincare clause, outlined under the Public Law Guidelines, by placing the Child with an immediate Family member, such as Grandparents.this would of prevented trauma to the child.?
If the Parents had not signed a section 20 Order,to put the Boy into voluntary care, Social Services would of instigated an Emergency Protection Order.
Parents do not know that they have the right to try,and get an Emergency Order discharged within 72 hours, which Social…

The decisions of family courts have profound and long-term effects on the lives of those involved and cumulatively on society as a whole.
Jack Straw made this comment the other day about the opening up of the Family Court for Public scrutiny.
Yes decisions that are made within the Family Court arena, do have life long effects, i know because it happened to me, my Son was taken wrongly into Care in 1986, after sustaining a spiral fracture of the right tibia, after jumping from the side…

The press release from the MOJ entitled OPENNESS & ACCOUNTABILITY IN FAMLY COURTS: NEW LEGISLATION PROPOSED 19/11/09 is exactly what it says in the title only; " NEW LEGISLATION." The rest of it is artful and utterly devious double entendre that would make any campaigner/journalist feel warm and cosy inside. DON'T BELIEVE IT.
I read the Children, Schools and Families Bill last night, VERY CAREFULLY as recommended by Simon Clayton. He is absolutely right, it is VERY BAD NEWS for…

The Government have accepted 15 recommendations, from the Social Work taskforce, i just hope they will put adequate funding into the project., it is alright putting things into theory, practice is of the uttermost importance.
Ed Balls stats that, it is a watershed moment for Social Workers.
Perhaps they should consider dealing with the critical work, that has come out of many of the Local Authority's Ofsted failings.
I welcome these recommendations with…

The Government make things so difficult, especially for single Mothers.
They are stopping benefits if the mother doesn't look for work.
The problem is it is very hard to get a job that fits around school holidays, and paying out for Childminders leaves these mothers worse off financially.
Even Young Mothers with babies are encouraged to go back to work, and at the other end of the scenario, are told that child development is affected quite badly if the Mother…

This kind of thing is happening every day in our secret Family Courts, and things are about to get lot worse.
Many Childens Panel Solicitors are leaving the profession, because the Government is taking some of the funding away for Public Law Cases, many Parents will have to represent themselves, good Mackenzie friends are very few.…

The Government will have to intervene in many other Local Authorities, there are many LAS up and down the Country, that are failing their on the spot Ofsted inspections.
I am not convinced by this Corporate Parents statement, only time will tell.
In the meantime, the Services are critical, God help the Children, and Families of Warrington, that are being failed on a large scale.
The Council should have weekly meetings to review their performance, of shoddy…

Common sense gone mad.
How is every school in the land going to check everybody's CRB disclosures, and details from the Independent Safeguarding Authority?
Another snooping eye from this Governments Big Brother State, and another tax on the individuals of this Country, who is going to pay for these checks?
The School hall will be empty this year, nobody there to watch the little darlings in their Nativity play, ALL IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE CHILD.
WELCOME TO THE UK A…

The Family courts are at breaking point already, with the increase in Care Proceedings, after the Baby Peter tragedy and other Local Authority failings up and down the Country resulting in the death of vulnerable children, one local Authority decided to drop 500 cases, because they said they were not safeguarding the Children that needed protection, the question is should any of these Cases of been instigated in the first place, wasting the taxpayers and Solicitors fees on Public Law Legal Aid…

Talking about YouTube - Video of Ed Balls being interviewed by children in care,.

I await the Governments involvement in Cornwall's failing Child Protection System with scepticism.
With Cafcass failing by as much as 75 percent in various parts of the Country and the meltdown and backlog of Cases within the Family Court Arena, I cannot see any improvement for the formidable future.
There are at least 30 Local Authority's, that have failed in their on the spot Ofsted inspections, concerns with reference to inadequate, documentation, assessments not done…
