Three years ago I had a very brief (48 hours) episode of mental illness whilst in hospital. It was later decided that this was probably brought on by the medication that I was being given for heart problems (beta blockers) and the extreme stress of being in a coronary care unit.

I have suffered with Depression for many years, mainly due to long term medical conditions, crohns disease, which can cause severe diarrhea, and constant abdominal pain.



I also have a hiatus hernia, which causes daily symptoms of gastric pain, sometimes so severe that i have to go to bed with a hot water bottle, when all the symptoms are on going, i get severely depressed due to long term constant pain.
