Surrey County Council Social Services Department have dropped 500 cases, so that Social Workers can concentrate on protecting vulnerable Children.
The question is should these cases have been instigated in the first place, costing millions of pounds at the taxpayers expense, it costs Local Authority's up to £4000, to instigate the former, prior to April 1st April 2008, the cost was £150?
Director of Children's Services Andy Roberts said that the large case number was put down to the…

The total Local Authority's, that are failing with reference to their on the spot Ofsted inspections is now 21, with many more to come?
The three Social Services Departments in this report reveal grave concerns, from the basic updating of IT equipment and the failure of recording of such data on computer.
If the basic data base is not working properly, i hold very little hope, for the protection of vulnerable Children of this Country, especially to Children, that have their names on…

I dedicate this site to Sue Amphlett, Colin Paterson, and Children's Panel Solicitor, John Atkinson, without their help and professionalism,we wouldn't be Grandparents today, to a beautiful little Girl Hollie Jade.
These wonderful People helped in our successful fight to get our Son returned, after he was wrongly taken into Care in 1986.
I would also like to thank my wonderful team at PAIN, Chris Smith, and Clare, for their continuing support, with reference to the maintenance and…

Rotherham, have failed on a wide range of projects, which fails within their duties to protect vulnerable Children, it was also mentioned that the Local Authority's IT,and data was not up to date, and Staff had difficulties transferring case files onto computer.

I applaud, BASW, Chief executive Hilton Dawson, with reference to Martin Nareys comments in the Observer Newspaper, about taking more Babies into care at birth, the situation within the Family Courts at the moment is dire, with a waiting list for Guardians in some parts of the Country, is five months, which is leaving Children at risk of abuse, or even death and in the majority of cases, innocent Parents being apart from their Children, for a longer timescale.
Social Services, have enough…

There is no blame and accountability made on Social Workers, in any of these blogs.
Until Social Workers are made accountable for malpractice, these Local Authority failings and the death of vulnerable children will continue, Baby Peter was seen by Social Work staff, on more than 60 times and yet he still died.
Ofsted, have failed in more than 20 Local Authority's, on their on the spot inspections, some failures are due to incomplete assessments, done within the correct timescale…

Social Workers think they have the right to act this way.
I am dealing with a case where a Child suffered from an unexplained fracture and the Social Worker said, I demand and will find out how this fracture occurred, in other words, somebody that thinks she is a Police Officer, a Paediatrician and Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon all in one.
In another case, a Child was handed over to the Local Authority, out of fear, that her son would kill himself and endanger the lives of others, he…

PAIN is dealing with a Public Law Case in Coventry, where the Mother has been diagnosed with MSPP, by a Paediatrician that has never seen the Parents or Children.
A fortnight ago, the Family were at a wedding, when one of the Boys fell and injured his leg, resulting in a trip to Casualty, there was no apparent injury.
At Court on the following day, the Guardian, who had been informed of the Hospital visit, stated that the Mothers anxieties were having a detrimental effect on the…

Martin Narey, I just hope that you never have to face the indignity of the secret Family Courts and have your heart ripped apart for ever.
Your arrogance is beyond belief.
Babies are being taken from Mothers, within hours of birth, on Emergency Protection Orders, in many parts of the Country at present; in many Cases Social Services have very little evidence to support such drastic action.
Mothers are being diagnosed with MSBP, by expert witnesses who are not properly qualified…

Local Authority's are failing in their Legal duties, to provide Parents with their Social Services files under the Data Protection act.
Under Section 7 of the Data Protection Act 1998, Social Services have 40 days to comply.
It is not just Social Services that deny Parents such data.
I was representing a Client within the Family Court Arena in Coventry, and was in the Pre Court meeting with my Clients Children's Panel Solicitors, the Parents had already put in a verbal appeal for…

The meeting with John Hemming MP, regarding CRB issues was overtaken by issues, about taking Care Proceedings, where Care Orders have been granted and JFF are taking these Cases via the European Court, to get the Care Orders Discharged, or quashed and then take the Case back to the Court of appeal, for a retrial and this has apparently happened in a recent Case.
The issues regarding the CRB, will have to be taken on a individual basis, there will have to be proper documentation and…

This is certainly the truth, within the UK, Care Proceedings have increased by as much as 80%, since the tragic death of Baby Peter, the Family Courts are in meltdown, due to lack of Guardians, which in some areas of the Country, there is a five month wait for these professionals, when in fact the former, should be appointed, within a week, of a Case reaching the Family Court Arena.
Cafcass have brought in new Guidelines, to overcome the backlog of Cases; these temporary rules will be used…

Rotherham, Peterborough and Slough have failed with regards to their on the spot inspections by Ofsted.
The main cause for concern was poor record keeping, and assesments not done within the allocated time scale.
The total now is 21 Local Authority's that have failed, and there will be many more to follow.
Result many more Children wrongly taken into Care, and the worse Case scenario, more child deaths, leading to more inquiry's at the taxpayers expense, God help the Children and…

A Social Worker has pioneered a new venture to prevent Children from being excluded from Schools.
The topic was started in a School in Staffordshire, and will be introduced in some areas of the Country in the next few months.
Rachel Bramble, said that with encouragement, realism, and openness, things would improve, the model will be based on a three year strategy.
At one particular School in Stafford, the exclusion of Children has dropped from 251 to six.
I presume this…

One of pain's Children's Panel Solicitors has asked the Legal Aid Board to fund a section 28 Contact Order, for a Grandmother to get to see her Grandchildren, post adoption.
My Co Worker at PAIN, self funded, and represented, himself, at the High Court, for such an order, three years ago, after he had his Children wrongly adopted, the Local Authority, had admitted to getting things wrong, with reference to the adoption, in his Case.
Unfortunately this was a test case, which…

Knowsley Borough Council have failed in their on the spot inspection by Ofsted.
Statistics show that a large number of initial assessments, regarding Children and Families were incomplete.
There was evidence that concluded there was a potential risk,to Children being left at risk of abuse and neglect.
How many more Children will there be, that have to die, because of Local Authority incompetence?
