APPALLING FIGURES

Absolutely appalling figures, that one in Seven Local Authority's are failing children, and families in one way or another.

It is about time all Corporate Parents in these areas took their responsibilities seriously, and put pressure on the so called high fliers in power to put their Departments in order, so that our children can be safeguarded, and receive a decent standard of education.…

ANOTHER FAMILY RUINED FOR CHRISTMAS

Dear Petition Signer and friend of the Baynes. I thought you should know.

Yesterday, a pre-trial court session was held at 1:30 pm in the Chilliwack Court House. Zabeth and Paul Bayne and their legal representative Doug Christie were present as was the legal counsel for the Ministry of Children and Family Development. In court the lawyer for MCFD admitted that with respect to the two boys, MCFD possesses no evidence of physical or emotional abuse or neglect. And remember it was he… Continue

Why the Children Schools & Families Bill implies a statutory reversal of Clayton Versus Clayton

Why the Children Schools & Families Bill implies a statutory reversal of

Clayton v. Clayton [2007] 1FLR 11 CA

1. The current law is that it is a Common Law contempt (declared in

heard in private (i.e. general public not admitted, even if accredited press

are) such as under the Children Act 1989 or in wardship. Information means

LEEDS TOLD TO IMPROVE THEIR CHILDRENS SERVICES

We had might as well give up on all Social Services, with what i have seen over the past two months, and now Leeds have failed their on the spot Ofsted inspection, and now there is problems within the education Department, within the city. Not only are children being left at risk of abuse, but are not going to make their full attainments, within a failing education system. Welcome to the 21st century, and a third world country a total disgrace.…

CUMBRIA AND LANCASHIRE SOCIAL SRVICES FAILINGS

Well what a surprise?, Cafcass, are failing in many parts of the Country, and by more than 75% in the East, and West Midlands.

Responding poorly to increased user demand, not rocket science is it?

Increase of Care Proceedings, requires more Guardians, in the meantime our Children are left at risk of neglect, and abuse, possibly even death.

Guardians should become involved, within a week, of a case reaching the Family Court arena, the Family Court debacle will… Continue

FOSTER CHILD DIES IN SWIMMING POOL ACCIDENT

A tragedy that should of never happened, my heart goes out to all concerned, especially the Natural Parents, we don't know the reason why these children were placed in Foster Care at the moment, but it is going to be a double tragedy for them, especially at this time of the year, just before Christmas.

A 17 month old Baby left unsupervised by a swimming pool, a disaster waiting to happen, another Local Authority statistic, rest in peace little one.…

GOVERMENT TO TAKE ROTHERHAM SOCIAL SERVICES TO TASK

It seems to me that all Local Authority are in a shambles, due to the increase in Care Proceedings all over the Country, and now Rotherham Social Services are to be taken in hand by the Government.

If Social Workers cant keep their basic documentation up to date, they certainly will have problems safeguarding vulnerable children, especially if a Child is on the Child Protection Register, and is not monitored at regular intervals.

Lets hope Rotherham decide to act on their… Continue

CASE CONFERENCES-CHILD PROTECTION

I will be writing to Ed Balls in the next 24 hours, with reference to Parents that have not been invited to Child Protection Case Conferences.

One Grandmother that is acting as a kincarer, for her Daughters Child didn't know that the Child's name was on the Child Protection Register.

PAIN won the right for Parents to attend case conferences in the early 1990s, we won this through the private members bills and the MPs, once more we are seeing a downward spiral, which is totally… Continue

ONE DAY WE WILL GET OUR FUNDING BACK

Next Wednesday, Alistair Darling will release his preBudget report to the nation and I bet there will be nothing to help us and similar groups.

Yet - who signed a Commons Early Day Motion 19 years go pressing the government to fund Parents Against Injustice. Yes, one Alistair Darling.

SOCIAL WORK IN THE 21ST CENTURY-HOPEFULLY A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER

I was told the other day by a PAIN client that her Social Worker had stated that our National Support Organization was one of those Social Services hate groups.

I can assure all these Professionals in the Country that the Group is there to advise Parents, about their rights, when involved in Care Proceedings, and Family Court hearings.,and are around to ensure that Family's are given the correct information, at a very traumatic time.

The Public Guidelines are disregarded every day… Continue

SOCIAL SERVICES NEED MORE TIME TO PREPARE FOR OFSTED INSPECTIONS REPORT STATES

I totally agree that Childrens Services need more time to prepare for Ofsted inspections, Social Services have a daily battle on their hands at the moment, to get through their heavy case loads with the alarmingly increase in Care Proceedings, due to their own System failings, resulting in the death of vulnerable Children, but the on the spot inspections should continue, to oversee what improvements have been made, with reference to safeguarding children, and other aspects of concern, such as… Continue

CHILD TAKEN INTO CARE IN DERBYSHIRE

Why will Local Authority's not use the kincare clause, outlined under the Public Law Guidelines, by placing the Child with an immediate Family member, such as Grandparents.this would of prevented trauma to the child.?

If the Parents had not signed a section 20 Order,to put the Boy into voluntary care, Social Services would of instigated an Emergency Protection Order.

Parents do not know that they have the right to try,and get an Emergency Order discharged within 72 hours, which Social… Continue

PAIN AND FASO CRB ISSUES

Mainfesto club - Hi Josie

Never mind under 18's it should be for everyone.

FASO, Parents Against Injustice, members of False Allegations against Carers and Teachers are endeavouring to speak with Govmt on this issue. We have had one meeting with David Burrows Shadow Minister for Justice - but nothing further.

Liberty are only doing a little toward CRB issues, (I am also a member of Liberty so am interested in seeing a member of Liberty speaking in Leeds) - sorry… Continue

Confidentiality

I took a new case tonight in the Liverpool area, The mother received information from her child's school, with reference to child protection issues, and she had information about another family enclosed with her paperwork, Information requested for under the data protection act, from Social Services have also contained other families files mixed up with the requested documentation, make sure it is dealt with via the complaints procedure, and breach of confidentiality, i have told my client to… Continue

The decisions of family courts have profound and long-term effects on the lives of those involved and cumulatively on society as a whole.

The decisions of family courts have profound and long-term effects on the lives of those involved and cumulatively on society as a whole.

Jack Straw made this comment the other day about the opening up of the Family Court for Public scrutiny.

Yes decisions that are made within the Family Court arena, do have life long effects, i know because it happened to me, my Son was taken wrongly into Care in 1986, after sustaining a spiral fracture of the right tibia, after jumping from the side… Continue
